The Learning Forum was set up three
years ago, to provide opportunities for discussion and
dissemination of effective learning and teaching approaches.
the schools involved have been exploring aspects such
as: the use of music in learning; individual target-setting;
thinking skills; sharing learning intentions with children;
different ways of demonstrating understanding/reviewing
learning; use of 'brain-breaks' to enhance concentration;
strategies for developing children's responsibility
and autonomy.
The Learning Forum meets at Craigavon Teacher's Centre,
twice a term, from 2:30pm - 4:30pm.
Information about dates and topics for meetings is
circulated to all schools through Board Post. This information
will also be available on the Primary and Early Years
homepage.
