Schools should not rush out to purchase class sets of the
many new Citizenship textbooks that are flooding the market,
since they may not meet the needs of the Northern ireland
curriculum.
A dependance upon textbooks may not be helpful in assisting
teachers towards a democratic classroom.

Local Non - Government Organisations have produced materials
that will help teachers address aspects of L&GC. A resource
exhibition was held during INSET where many of these were
represented.
