This postgraduate qualification is currently offered to post-primary teachers in full-time employment in schools within the Southern Board. The course provides careers practitioners and those new to the subject with an opportunity to acquire a professional qualification enhancing their own professional development and adding kudos to their department.

The course is offered in partnership with the WELB and BELB and the University of Ulster, School of Education. It is delivered through INSET

and supported by the University and through the C2K ‘Virtual Learning Environment’. Successful completion of the course requires participants to complete two modules normally within one academic year. Those achieving the required level may wish to proceed to diploma and masters level in Careers Education and Guidance or diversify into other areas.
